The University of Tsukuba established the Organization for Information Infrastructure on April 1, 2007 for the purpose of planning and maintaining the following programs to improve the efficiency of education and research at the University of Tsukuba
- Development and operation of information infrastructure related to education and management
- Provision of information services on the information infrastructure
- Provision of information security and taking necessary countermeasures
