Organization for Information Infrastructure consists of Organization for Information Infrastructure, Academic Computing & Communications Center, Information Infrastructure Committee, and Office for Information Infrastructure Development.Division of Information Infrastructure Management provides operational support for these.
Organization for Information Infrastructure
Organization for Information Infrastructure A is an organization that oversees the entire information environment of the University of Tsukuba. The main works are as follows.
1.Develop university information strategy
2.Establishment of university information environment infrastructure
3.Ensuring information security
Organization for Information Infrastructure Planning
Planning, drafting of information environment management, operation, and budget planning at the University of Tsukuba. The main works are as follow.
1.Planning related to computerization strategy and information infrastructure development at the University of Tsukuba
2.Establishing budget of information infrastructure management.
Academic Computing & Communications Center(ACCC)
Conducts research and development related to the information environment and information services using it, as well as maintenance and operation of information infrastructure and services. The main works are as follow.
1.Planning of information infrastructure maintenance plan
2.Maintenance, operation and service provision for the core information network
3.Maintenance, operation and service provision for the campus-wide computer environment
4.Advanced education such as e-Learning
5.Secure of information infrastructure
6.Provision of various services based on information infrastructure
Information Infrastructure Committee
Information Infrastructure Committee deliberates on the following important matters related to the development of information environment infrastructure.
1. Formulation of draft corporate regulations related to information security
2. Formulation of annual plans for education on the operation and use of information systems
3. Formulation of Emergency Action Plan
4. Formulation of measures to prevent the recurrence of information security incidents
Office for Information Infrastructure Development
Office for Information Infrastructure Development is responsible for the maintenance and development of important information infrastructure at the University of Tsukuba.
Division of Information Infrastructure Management
Division of Information Infrastructure Management will provide operational support for Organization for Information Infrastructure and ACCC, as well as initiatives related to the maintenance and management of information infrastructure and human resource development. The main works are as follow.
1. Maintenance and management of the University of Tsukuba’s network, computer environment, e-learning, etc.
2. Maintenance, maintenance and management of business information systems
3. Ensuring Information Security
4. Development of human resources responsible for business information systems
The Information Infrastructure Section consists mainly of staff in charge of 1 and 3 for education and research organizations in the ACCC and Office of Educational Cloud, and staff in charge of 1~4 mainly for administrative organizations in the Information Infrastructure Division Office.
