On November 20, 2020, the 10th University of Tsukuba FD Workshop Information Security Seminar was held at online.
In this year’s seminar, as the first half of part 1, Kenichi Terashita of Fortinet Japan Co., Ltd. gave a lecture titled “Attacker’s Psychology and Our Attitude in Cyberspace”. As the second half of part 1, Masayuki Orimo, Director of Information Security Risk Management Office, and Dr. Kazuki Katagishi, associate professor at the Academic Computing & Communications Center, gave a lecture titled “Our University’s information security initiatives and points to note – Caution for suspicious Emails and Points to note based on Incident Response Status”, and 235 participants gathered.
As the first half of part 2, Keisuke Kameyama, Director of the Academic Computing & Communications Center, gave a lecture entitled “Toward the realization of vulnerability inspection”. As the second half of part 2, Dr. Akira Sato, Associate Professor of the Academic Computing & Communications Center, gave a lecture titled “Less than one year left until the zoning is completed! The concrete transition work will be like this”, and 162 participants gathered.
Participants commented such as “I was able to know the latest trends in information security risks, which was very helpful.”
It was valuable opportunity to deepen the knowledge of information security through the incident cases and the status of efforts at our university, and to raise awareness of information security incidents that may occur in our daily lives.
