End of support for Windows Vista (Notice)

For those who are currently using a Windows Vista PC.

As many of you already know through the media, Microsoft has announced that support for Windows Vista will end on April 11, 2017.

As a result, after April 11, 2017, security-related patches will no longer be available, so if you will continue to use of the PC, the risk of virus infection and information leakage is expected to increase. In addition, even if you do not connect to the network, there is also a risk of virus infection by passing files via USB sticks and DVDs.

Therefore, before the end of the support period, please make sure to either buy a new PC or upgrade the Windows OS. We ask that you be able to respond in each organization, etc.

In addition, if you are upgrading, you can use the EES (Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions) contracted by the University, but please pay close attention as follow.
・The system requirements such as whether your pc meets the recommended specifications.
・The procedures such as making a backup of your data.
