The Organization for Information Infrastructure (OII) of University of Tsukuba was established for managing the overall information environment of the University. It is dedicated to promoting the use of IT-based means to education and research, managing the information infrastructure, and providing cybersecurity. Within the OII, the Center for Academic Computing and Communications Center (ACCC) runs the campus network, the educational computer systems, the unified authentication service, and the services for IT-based learning. The Division of Information Infrastructure (DII) in the Academic Information Department oversees the systems for management and administration in the University. With ACCC and DII as its pillars, the OII plans, maintains and improves the information environment of the University. The OII also works in cooperation with the Office of Information Security Risk Management (OISRM), which promotes the safe use of the cyberspace and responds when security incidents occur.
Information environment of the University is the key basis for education, research, management, and providing good public relations. The OII supports a safe and reliable environment for the activities and will strive to improve them for providing novel possibilities to support growth.
As the director of OII, I will continue this endeavor to provide an outstanding information environment for education and research in the University of Tsukuba. I sincerely appreciate your kind support and suggestions.
